Writing a manuscript for a scholarly journal is considered by many a daunting and uncomfortable task. This article unravels some of the mystery of developing one of the more difficult types of manuscript for scholarly publication, that is, the classic “research paper”. The goal of this article is to dispel fears surrounding scholarly publishing and guide the reader through the basic tenets of writing a manuscript. This article breaks down each section of a research article and discusses tips and typical elements of a manuscript.Abstract
